Liverpool Mental Health Consortium invites you to join us for Ice & Fire's performance of 'This Is Who I Am'. The evening is brought to you in collaboration with Liverpool Community Development Service, 'Many Hands, One Heart' and Zest Event Management.
We're delighted to present first-hand accounts of LGBT+ people seeking asylum in the UK. Opportunity for discussion will follow the readings and we'll leave on a high with performances from 'Many Hands, One Heart'.
Kieran Cooke will be the launching his new book, 'A Not So Foreign Correspondent in Ireland.'
Kieran was Ireland correspondent for the Financial Times in the late 1980s and early 90s, reporting on economic and political developments and on a particularly difficult period in Northern Ireland.
Of Irish-English parentage - his mother was from Roscommon - for the past 30 years, Kieran has spent a large portion of his time at his old cottage near Louisburgh, in County Mayo.
Kieran has been a foreign correspondent for the BBC and Financial Times in Greece, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia and Ireland and writes for a wide variety of publications, including the Irish Times.
On the night, Kieran will be discussing his experiences, reading from his book and answering questions.
