This session will focus on the children’s science-fiction film The Glitterball (dir. Harley Cokeliss, 1977) to discuss the future of our planet. Participants will collaboratively write a creative written piece called the ‘Earth Survival Guide’ which advise the main character of The Glitterball about life on Earth.

Aimed at: 10-13 yrs

This session will focus the UK film Attack the Block (directed by Joe Cornish, 2011),a film about a group of teenage friends defending their council block from an alien invasion. Participants will discuss stereotypes about young people in contemporary film and media and write their own short newspaper review of Attack the Block.
