Using Kenya’s first science-fiction film, Pumzi (directed by Wanuri Kahiu, 2009), this session will discuss the prospect of climate change and the moral dilemmas which follow from global warming. Participants will imagine and design their own future after climate change and discuss possible solutions to environmental decline.

Aimed at: 13-15 yrs

This session will focus on the children’s science-fiction film The Glitterball (dir. Harley Cokeliss, 1977) to discuss the future of our planet. Participants will collaboratively write a creative written piece called the ‘Earth Survival Guide’ which advise the main character of The Glitterball about life on Earth.

Aimed at: 10-13 yrs
